EXERCISE 1:
Beauty In The Eyes
of The Beholder
For this exercise, we were given the freedom to express our definition of beauty in our eyes.

The Multi-coloured Sea Turtle. There is beauty in every form and aspect, especially through nature. The vivid complementary colours are in contrast with the monotonous greyscale of the turtle. This demonstrates the exuberance in life as there is a balance in colours to reflect my expression on not just the beauty found in this sea creature, but the beauty that everyone encompasses as a whole.
For this exercise, we were to come up with different compositions with recycled materials to produce expressive collages. I decided to focus on 5 different mental disorders to bring awareness.
Shock: Anxiety disorder
High: Stimulant use disorder - substance related disorder
Confused: Personality disorder
Shock: Anxiety disorder
EXERCISE 2:
Compositional Collage Exploration
EXERCISE 3:
Blind Contour
Drawing
For this exercise, we were to draw in the style of blind contour. I decided to draw my sister and friends for this.
These exercises have aided me in the projects of this module. By learning different techniques, I was able to widen my skills in communicating through design languages of composition, lines and such.
