PROJECT 3:
Parasitic Space
For this assignment, we were to create an interesting space to accommodate activities for personal use in a proposed location.
By extracting the design languages from the previous transformation series, various openings are formed—under the influence of parasitic architecture.
Week 10(I): Stage 1
For the first week, I started off by researching on parasitic architecture to deepen my understanding on what the assignment requires. I then proceeded with the SITE ANALYSIS.
Week 11-13 (II-IV): Stage 2
Week 14(V): Stage 3
PROGRESS
In this stage, I focused on making the developmental models to prototype my ideas. After doing so, I then proceeded by starting the A1 sized final model.

The process was a stressful experience as I had to explore and compromise different parts of the design. I made many errors which took up lots of materials, however I managed to work with whatever I had left (especially time).
Throughout these weeks, I worked on the DESIGN PROPOSAL, CONCEPTUAL DESIGN and CONCEPTUAL DEVELOPMENT.
REFLECTION
My intellectual engagement was truly insightful. I was able to locate, extract, synthesise and utilise the information I obtained from various resources via the internet.
I was given the ability to reflect on my actions by managing my time efficiently as well as refining self-reliance.
I learnt how to compile this project in a step-by-step manner for optimal readability, clarity and aesthetic appeal.
This assignment has taught me how to compromise in an unforeseen circumstance especially with a limited amount of resources. It was quite a challenge, however it has allowed me to express my design language through parasitic architecture in a real proposed location.
